Crossprint regards industrial waste not as a nuisance to be discarded at will but as a source of valuable raw materials. For this reason, some 95% of all our dry waste (i.e. paper) is recycled.
Pallets are all recycled into compost or are given to AJ Wells to re-use for dispatching their fires on to the wholesalers.
Fluorescent tubes are processed so that all components, even the hazardous mercury content, are recovered and recycled for industry.
Aluminium printing plates are recycled.
Toner and print cartridges are recycled.
Empty ink tins are recycled.
Cardboard is recycled.
Office paper is recycled.
Spare paper is regularly donated to local schools and colleges.
Paper making in 5 tonne lots reduces waste by 23-36 % and reduces cost by 3-12 %.
